Hayfield holds off Rushford-Peterson

The No. 2 seeded Hayfield boys basketball team beat No. 7 Rushford-Peterson (13-14 overall) 60-48 in a Section 1A quarterfinal in Mayo Civic Center Wednesday.
The Trojans were as close as six in the second half, but the Vikings (23-5 overall) were able to hold on and advance.
Ethan Slaathaug had 21 points for Hayfield, which will play Randolph in the Section 1A semifinals in Mayo Civic Center at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
