Former Austin Packer Ruth Koang has committed to play college basketball at Division I University of Alabama.
Koang, a 6-5 center, averaged 10.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 60 percent from the field in her sophomore season at South Plains Community College.
SPCC is located in Plano, Texas.
Alabama finished with a record of 18-12 overall this season.
