COVID-19: State cases rise to 629, 13 cases in Mower
The number of COVID-19 cases in the state took another sharp rise from Monday with another 53 positive cases reported Tuesday.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, the total number of cases statewide now sits at 629 and includes another new case in Mower, bringing the total to 13 cases.
This jump continues a steep trend stretching from March 6, when the first case was reported in Hennepin County, which now has 204 cases. There have been 12 deaths in the state.
To date, 112 cases have required hospitalization with 56 still hospitalized as of Tuesday.
Between MDH and external laboratories, there have been 19,780 tests completed. The age range of those that were infected are from late teens to early 60s according to an update from the Mower County Emergency Operations Center.
