It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Maxyne (Anderson) Groe, 83, of Austin, Minnesota, and later Mankato, Minnesota, on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.

Maxyne loved her family, friends, a good laugh, an interesting book and traveling the world.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; and son, Steven.  She will be deeply missed by her son, Craig of Mankato; daughter, Gerilyn (Mike) Elsen of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; granddaughters, Sylvia Orth (Eduardo Gavilan), Emmalyn and Andrea Elsen; great-granddaughter, Ariana Gavilan; sisters, Marilyn (Phil) Peters of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and JoEllen (Jim) Bailey of Mason City, Iowa; and many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and aunt.

A private burial will be held in June. North Mankato Mortuary-Northview assisted the family.
