Archie Deangelo Larkins, also known as Archie David Larkins, 43, was sentenced to 26 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for felony escape from custody. He received credit for 55 days served.
Judge Kevin Siefken issued the sentence.
Court documents state Larkins, who was on probation for two counts of felony third-degree drug sales and in custody at the Mower County Jail until a bed at a treatment facility became available, was granted furlough from the jail on Dec. 19.
He was to be temporarily released from jail at noon on Dec. 24 and report back to jail on Dec. 26. He was informed that failure to do so would result in a charge of escape from custody.
Larkins did not report back to jail at the stated time; he was later arrested and brought to the Mower County Jail in the early hours of Dec. 31.
For violating probation on his two felony drug sale convictions, Larkins was subsequently sentenced to 51 months in prison and 57 months in prison. He received credit for 176 days served.
The sentences are all concurrent to each other.
