The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team lost in heartbreaking fashion as they fell to No. 2 ranked Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (21-1 overall, 12-0 Gopher) on the road Tuesday.
WEM banked in a three-pointer at the buzzer to win the game over BP (17-3 overall, 8-2 Gopher).
“If you didn’t know the character of the guys in white uniforms tonight, you would have thought we’d lose by 20 under the circumstances. I’m so proud of these guys,” BP head coach Nate Piller said. “They have so much heart and drive. We’ll bounce back. They feel bad right now, but we’ll be better because of this.”
