The Hayfield boys basketball team caught fire as it beat Rushford-Peterson (5-6 overall) 66-46 in Hayfield Tuesday.

Ethan Slaathaug had 29 points for the Vikings (8-3 overall).

The Vikings made their first three three-pointers to go up 9-0 and they finished 12-for-24 on three-pointers.

“We finally shot the lights out,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said.
