The Hayfield boys basketball team beat Medford (5-11 overall, 3-6 Gopher) 58-51 in Medford Tuesday.

Ethan Slaathaug had 29 points for the Vikings (13-3 overall, 7-2 Gopher), who trailed by six with nine minutes to go.
