On May 6, 1950, Deloris was united in marriage to Earl James Scott at St. Olaf Parsonage in Austin. Together they raised four children – Sandra, James, Larry and Cathy. Deloris and Earl lived in Austin. She was a stay-at-home mom, but as the children got older, she worked many jobs until she found herself working at JC Penney as a clerk, then in the office as a secretary/bookkeeper until her retirement. In 1986, Deloris and Earl moved to Dorchester, Iowa, where they owned and built “Scotty’s Campground” along the Waterloo Creek. Deloris enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with friends she made there.

Deloris was very talented in needlework, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, her flower gardens, making lefse, and was an avid Vikings football fan. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
