Community foundation invites couples to ‘For the Love of Austin’

Austin Area Foundation to hold upcoming Valentine’s Day evening gala
The Austin Area Foundation is hosting “For The Love Of Austin” gala evening dinner on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, at the Holiday Inn in Austin.
This first of what the board is aiming to be an annual event starts off with a social time from 5:30-6:15 p.m., followed by a five-course dinner. Live music provided by Funny Valentines and Morgan & Friends, a door prize and silent auction and a 50/50 drawing will highlight the evening.
The unique door prize will provide $1,000 for the lucky winner to gift to an Austin Area non-profit of their choice. If you have had the dream of being able to give a significant donation to your favorite Austin charity, this is the door prize for you.
“‘For the Love of Austin’ will be an enjoyable evening and will support the work of the foundation in the Austin community,” said Jeff Baldus, executive director. “The foundation, to date, has given over $200,000 in grants to Austin area nonprofits in support of their work to improve the Austin community in countless ways. We look forward to seeing you all there – for the love of Austin now and into the future.”
