The Austin girls closed out their regular season with a 7-1 win over Waseca (1-23 overall) on the road Friday.

Katie Holtz had two goals and four assists for the Packers (11-12 overall) and Jordyn McCormack had three goals and two assists. Cassidy Davidson and Payton Squier each had their first varsity goal in the win and Sunita Esche had her first varsity point.

“It was great to see Cassidy and Peyton score their first goals and Sunita Esche, our German exchange student getting her first varsity point in the USA,” Austin head coach Troy Holtz said. “The most impressive part of the night was the 60 plus police, fire, and EMS personal there to honor injured Waseca Officer Maddon. We were very honored to be part of this event.”
