Austin sophomore Kate Holtz put up a big effort and she finished it with an exclamation point as the Packers beat Windom (3-9 overall) 5-4 in Windom Saturday.
Holtz, who had four goals and one assist, netted the game-winner on an assist from Jordyn
McCormack seven minutes into OT.
The Packers had trailed 3-0 before bouncing back.
Lexi Stitch had one goal and two assists for Austin.
“The girls played well after going down 3-0. It was a great comeback,” Austin head coach Troy Holtz said. “We came out sloppy after playing so well on Thursday. We might have had some bus legs in the early going, but finally got it started late in the second period.”
Austin had 37 shots on goal and Shelby Davidson had 34 saves for the Packers.
