Mower County Sheriff Steve Sandvik swore in Cody McCormick as the newest Mower County deputy Friday morning at the Mower County Law Enforcement Center.
A native of St. Charles, McCormick has prior law enforcement experience working boat patrol with Winona County and from a position at the Olmsted County Jail, where he was working before joining the Mower County Sheriff’s Office.
“I’m excited to be a deputy for the Mower County Sheriff’s Office and a part of the community,” McCormick said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about the community.”
The addition of McCormick brings the MCSO’s deputy strength to 24.
