The Hormel Historic Home hosted its fifth annual Holiday Card Party Thursday, the first holiday event of the season. Seventy-three card players signed up this year, a rise from the year before, which was 52 players. The event is sponsored by Y’s Women Club.
The Hormel Historic Home’s Saturday Holiday Open House is from 3-6 p.m. this Saturday and includes Christmas tours of the mansion, treats and entertainment.

There will be live music in the museum and the St. Andrews Sisters will be performing at 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. in the event center. Cost is $5 per person, pay at the door (no pre-sale). A cash bar will be available. This is the only Saturday the home will be available to tour while its decorated for Christmas. The home’s Christmas décor changes every year…if you’ve seen it once, you haven’t seen it like this.
Christmas Tours of the Mansion will be available Nov. 25 through early January, during our regular tour hours, Mon-Fri 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
