The No. 1 seeded LeRoy-Ostrander football team opened the postseason with a 38-22 win over No. 8 Mabel-Canton (0-9) in the Section 1 Nine Man quarterfinals in LeRoy Tuesday.

LO led 24-8 at the half.

Chase Johnson ran for 191 yards and two TDs and he threw for 102 yards and two TDs.

Memphiz Gomez racked up 24 tackles for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals (9-0) will host No. 5 Houston at 7 p.m. Saturday.
