In celebration of International Credit Union Day, Gov. Tim Walz has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, Oct. 17, Credit Union Day in the state of Minnesota.

International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) is a chance to engage members and raise awareness for credit unions worldwide. This year’s “Local Service. Global Reach,” theme celebrates the fact that local actions encourage higher levels of member service throughout the global credit union movement.

Austin has four credit unions serving the community: Accentra, Austin City Employees, Mower County Employees and Mower County Catholic Parishes.
