Cardinals make a late push to beat Lanesboro

The No. 2 ranked LeRoy-Ostrander football team used some fourth quarter heroics to beat Lanesboro (2-5 overall) 20-12 in LeRoy Friday.
Carter Johnson, who ran for 132 yards and three TDs, snapped a 12-12 tie in the fourth quarter when he converted a rushing TD and Chase Johnson ran in the two-point conversion to make it 20-12. LO (7-0 overall) forced and recovered Burro fumble with 40 seconds left in the game to seal the win.
“A lot of credit goes to Lanesboro, they’re tough minded,” LO head coach Trevor Carrier said. “Our boys had their hands full tonight, but we found a way to close it out.”
