The Austin volleyball team clinched its best record in more than a decade when it beat Albert Lea (0-7 overall, 0-2 Big Nine) by scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15 in AL Tuesday.

Avery Thompson pounded 15 kills and Erica Lundberg added nine kills for the Packers.

Austin (7-2 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) hasn’t won seven matches in a season since the Packers went 15-10 overall in the fall of 2008.
