Timothy C. Boever, 70

Timothy C. Boever, 70, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1948, in Marcus, Iowa, the son of John and Geraldine (Dixon) Boever.
Tim attended Holy Name Catholic School in Marcus through the sixth grade and then graduated from Marcus Community High School. He then proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, enlisting in 1968 and serving two tours. He received his honorable discharge in April of 1970.
He married Catherine Schneider on Dec. 23, 1975, and they were blessed with four children: Erica, Allison, Christina and Thomas “TJ.”
Tim attended Western Iowa Technical College and trained to be a butcher. Throughout the years, he also worked as a trucker and did landscaping. He finished out his working years at Minimizer Manufacturing in Blooming Prairie. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was always known to have a good time, no matter what the activity. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards or poker. His favorite times were those spent with family, especially his grandchildren. His family and friends will greatly miss his keen sense of humor and quick-witted one-liners.
Tim is survived by his wife, Cathy; his children, Erica (Todd) Nelson, Allison (Travis) Hensrud, Christina (Jeffrey) Getchell and Thomas (Alisha) Boever, all of Blooming Prairie; his grandchildren, Arri Meiners, Dustin, Brianna and Hailey Hensrud, Connor and Myah Getchell, Madilynne Boever, and Blake and Savannah Kramer; siblings, John “Jack” (Dorothy) Boever, Kitty (Jerry) Galles, Sherry Willis, Julie (Pete) Mundell, Deanna (Jim) Beck and Mary (Art) Ewoldt; father-in-law, Melford (Darlene) Schneider; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol Boever, Karen Boever, Julie Boever, Terry (Barb) Schneider, Cheryl (Larry) Shoden, Brenda (Scott) Thompson and Rhonda (Dennis) Underdahl; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Geraldine; siblings, Norbert “Nubs” Boever, Peggy Larson, Richard “Dick” Boever, Gail Boever and Steve Boever; mother-in-law, Esther Schneider; sister-in-law, Karen Schneider; and brother-in-law, Randall Schneider.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, Minnesota, with Pastor Dwight DoBell officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Friends may visit with family one hour before services on Saturday at the funeral home.
