Ruth E. Ross, 86

Ruth E. Ross, 86, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at her home in Austin.
Ruth was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Austin to Charles and Dorlenne (Morgan) Joy. She graduated from Austin High School in 1950. On Jan. 17, 1955, she married George “Pete” Ross in Austin. Ruth had a wonderful career being a housewife and cook for her family. She was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association and Hall of Fame, a Girl and Boy Scouts leader and a Youth Bowling League coach. She enjoyed camping, going up North, playing cards, puzzles, game shows and the casino. Ruth also loved being with family, laughing and fishing. Give her a book and a fishing pole and she was happy.
Survivors include her son, George (Bunny) Ross of Rochester, Minnesota; two daughters, Diana Ross (special friends Minoc and Kathy ScabbyRobeParnett) of Austin and Debra (Blake) McCullough of Austin; seven grandchildren, Derrick, Josh and George R.A. Ross, Aaron (Julie), Adam and Andrew McCullough, and MeShet (Heather) ScabbyRobeParnett; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Casper McCullough. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorlenne Joy; husband, George “Pete” Ross, in 2006; and son, James Ross, in 2013.
