Crack sealing on SE MN highways begins today

Published 7:05 am Tuesday, August 20, 2019

Beginning today, motorists will encounter minor traffic delays on various state highways in six southeast Minnesota counties as crews begin crack sealing work to help preserve state roads, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

On two-lane roads, motorists will take turns using the single open lane while being directed by flaggers. Delays should be minimal through the work zone.

Work begins in Houston County and will proceed, as weather permits. Other work is scheduled on state roads in Fillmore, Mower, Olmsted, Rice and Goodhue Counties.
