The American Cancer Society held their Southern Minnesota Board Retreat at The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota.
The mutual mission of preventing and controlling cancer was shared and board members learned about research underway at the Institute, hearing from grant recipient Dr. James Robinson studying melanoma and from grant candidate Dr. Luke Hoeppner who is aiming to further ACS funded research in the area of small cell lung cancer, the deadliest form of lung cancer.
