Nancy L. Roberts, 71, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus-Rochester.

Nancy Lee was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Austin to Leslie and Wilma (Tryon) Mayzlik. She attended Austin schools and graduated from Austin High School with the Class of 1965. Nancy went on to study nursing at Austin Community College. She earned her LPN degree and began working at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin. After a year working as a nurse, Nancy returned to school at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.

She returned home to Austin and on April 11, 1970, was united in marriage to Richard Allan Roberts at Oakland Baptist Church. Nancy and Richard raised their five children and resided together in Austin for almost 50 years of marriage.

Nancy was a kind and loving soul. She had many interests, including gardening, baking and cooking, sewing, playing the organ and harp and singing. Nancy was a faithful servant of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the center of her life was the love she had for her beautiful family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Wilma Mayzlik; and her niece, Lesley Mayzlik.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Becky (Craig) Sahr of Austin, Beth (Steve) Thoms of Kasota, Minnesota, Jennifer (Brent) Ingvalson of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, Phillip (Kara) Roberts of Rochester, Minnesota, and Tammy Roberts of Blooming Prairie; nine grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Ludwig of Watson, Minnesota, Merrilee Denaway of Austin, Janell (John) Holdeman of Bristol, Indiana, Cynthia (Michael) Turvey of Austin and Penelope Mayzlik of Austin; brothers, Charles (Jane) Mayzlik of Heath, Ohio, Timothy Mayzlik of Austin and Martin Mayzlik of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
