The Hayfield softball team edged out Blooming Prairie (6-10 overall) 2-1 in BP Thursday.

Caitlyn Hendrickson struck out 11 for Hayfield (11-8 overall) and Jaelynn Therring gave the Vikings the lead for good with a two-run homer in the top of the fifth inning.

Riauna Bishop allowed just two earned runs and she struck out six for Hayfield.
