A pinning ceremony for new Austin Police Capt. Todd Clennon will be held during the Austin City Council’s next regular meeting on Monday.

Clennon, who has been a detective with the Austin Police Department for several years, assumed the role of captain on Monday. He is replacing Austin Police Chief David McKichan, who held the title of captain before his promotion to chief.

The council will also receive bids for street reconstruction work at Oakland Place Southeast, intersection improvements at Fourth Avenue and Fourth Street Northeast and sanitary sewer work at Bandshell Park during the meeting.
