Mayo welcomes 3 new providers to Austin facility

Three new providers are joining the health care team on the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Austin campus.

Kari Ebeltoft, certified nurse practitioner specializing in senior services, joined the Family Medicine Department on April 17. Ebeltoft received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She transferred to the Austin practice after working at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville since 2009. Senior services specializes in geriatrics care for the elderly.

Jennifer Juers, certified nurse practitioner, joined the Pain Clinic Department on April 17. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner Master of Science degree at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin. Juers joins the Pain Clinic, a multidisciplinary team of providers, that offers a comprehensive range of treatment options that not only address the painful condition, but also the impact of the pain on the patient.

Emily Majerus, certified physician assistant, joined the Family Medicine Department on April 22. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Saint Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

As an Austin native, Majerus is excited to have the opportunity to treat patients from her hometown.

“I strive to create an environment in which all patients feel welcome and respected,” she said. “I aim to earn my patients’ trust and establish relationships with each individual who comes to me with medical concerns. Although I enjoy the variety that the family medicine specialty offers, my special interests include preventative health, geriatrics, and performing in-clinic procedures.”
