Austin woman charged with meth sales; Allegedly sold to police informant

DeeDee Moungkhounuh, 27, of Austin was charged with felony first-degree drugs-sale of 17 grams or more of cocaine or methamphetamine on Monday in Mower County District Court.

According to the court complaint, an Austin narcotics detective and investigator with the Southeast Minnesota Drug Task Force met with a confidential reliable informant (CRI) on March 6 about purchasing methamphetamine from Moungkhounuh. The CRI and his vehicle were searched and he was provided buy money and an audio transmitter.
Police monitored the CRI as he met with Moungkhounuh, who was driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, at a location in Austin. The detective monitored the audio and heard the CRI and Moungkhounuh discussing drugs and money. After the purchase, the CRI met with police at a predetermined location and surrendered 24.33 grams of methamphetamine. The CRI confirmed Moungkhounuh sold him the drugs.
Moungkhounuh was arrested on Friday at her residence in the 600 block of Seventh Street Northeast.
Moungkhounuh will appear in court again on May 23.
