An Austin High School senior was awarded a prestigious scholarship.

Adrianna Meiergerd was presented the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship by Bonnie Tangren, P.E.O Star chapter representative, during the Austin High School’s award ceremony.

The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. The program is open to young women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States or Canada and are graduating high school seniors at the time of application. They must receive a recommendation by a P.E.O. Chapter.

Meiergerd was accepted into the University of Nebraska, for agribusiness.
