Share your talents: Austin Living taking submissions for Austin Expression
By now it should come as no surprise that our area is brimming with artistic and literary endeavor, and Austin Living has stepped up to embrace these talents.
Austin Living is now accepting submissions for our annual Austin Expression edition. Austin Expression is a literary section within Austin Living that showcases the amazing works of our readers, not only from Austin and the surrounding area, but those who are natives currently living outside of our area.
This edition is nothing more than a chance to showcase the incredible talents from our area.
We are accepting prose, poetry, prints, sculptures and other works, so if you have something to share, we would love to showcase it.
Deadline for submissions is May 24, 2019.
In addition to those submissions we also compose a trio of stories that have a common theme to help anchor the section. This year we want to recognize that the time, sweat and detail put into a person’s vehicle is art in an of itself.
If you have a vehicle, or know somebody with a vehicle that has had a lot of time put into it, let us know. We are interested in writing stories not only on the classic car, but anybody who has detailed a more modern vehicle.
Please contact Eric Johnson, editor of Austin Living Magazine at email@example.com. Include contact information, information on the vehicle as well as a picture of the vehicle itself.
We will be taking suggestions up until 5 p.m. on May 3.
For more information, check-out our submission guidelines below.
We will accept submissions from artists/writers who live or work in Austin/Mower County and the surrounding area, along with people who have a direct tie to Austin (Austin natives/AHS grads now living out of state will be accepted).
Please include name and contact information (phone number and email) with submissions.
Send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Austin Expression” in the subject line. Please include a short bio that includes ties to Austin/Mower County.
Submissions deadline is May 24.
