Robert “Bob” E. Adamson, 81, of Stewartville, Minnesota, formerly of Rochester, Minnesota, died on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus-Rochester.

Bob was born Feb. 17, 1938 in Rochester to Paul and Mildred Adamson. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1956. Bob worked various jobs all throughout his high school years and started at Northwestern Bell after graduation. He retired from Northwestern Bell in 1991. Bob volunteered for various programs through Olmsted County and was an avid volunteer for the remainder of his life.Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether he was relaxing in the woods, fishing on the lake or holding the babies at the grandchildren’s extracurricular events. Bob will be dearly missed by all.

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy (Nelsen); two brothers; and loving wife of 48 years, Alice (Musgjerd). Bob is survived by four children, Doug (Marie) of Austin, Minnesota, Tim (Patty) of Lyle, Minnesota, Tom (Karen) of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Sheila Cada of Stewartville; two brothers; seven sisters; and special friend, Susan Vold.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Macken Funeral Home. Online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com.
