Austin Bruins gifts Pacelli Catholic Schools $5,725

Cementing its support for education, the Austin Bruins gave a gift to Pacelli Catholic Schools on Tuesday morning.

Presenting a check of $5,725 to Pacelli Catholic Schools in front of students, the Austin Bruins announced that the Austin Bruins Foundation would be giving this donation to the catholic schools as a result of Pacelli Night that was held on March 16.

“We’re very proud to take part in this every year,” said Brian Schulz, president of business operations for the Bruins. “This is one of the key initiatives with the Austin Bruins Foundation and Pacelli is a great community partner.”

Also presented to Pacelli Catholic School was the special green shamrock jersey worn by the Bruins’ mascot Bruiser that was auctioned.

“It’s wonderful,” said Irene Nelson, executive assistant and events coordinator for Pacelli. “It’s obvious how much they care for our catholic school. It was a really great effort all the way around.”

Dean of Students Laura Marreel also expressed her gratitude for the Austin Bruins and their donation to the Catholic school.

“We are very grateful to have these community partners,” she added.
