Alumni Update: Bollingberg heating up at Saint Thomas

BASEBALL

Pacelli grad Daniel Bollingberg went two-for-seven with two RBIs and a run scored for the University of Saint Thomas as the Tommies split a doubleheader with Macalester recently.

Bollingberg, a junior, is third on the Tommies (11-5 overall) with a batting average of .411 and he also has three doubles, one triple and 13 RBIs in 15 games.

Lyle grad Jordan Hart launched three home runs in a doubleheader for Minnesota State University as the Mavericks (19-8 overall) split a double header with Minnesota-Duluth recently.

Hart went four-for-seven with six RBIs in the doubleheader and he now has 10 home runs on the season.  He is hitting .432 with eight doubles, one triple and 40 RBIs.

Hayfield grad Adam Fjerstad has started on the mound in four games this season for Bethany Lutheran (6-11 overall) and he has a record of 1-3 overall.

Fjerstad has pitched 18.1 innings with an ERA of 12.27 and he has struck out 18.


SOFTBALL

Austin grad Sydney Murphy, a senior, went one-for-three for the UW-La Crosse team as the Eagles beat Saint Mary’s 6-5 recently.

Murphy is hitting .283 with two doubles and three RBIs on the season for UWL (12-8 overall).


TRACK AND FIELD

Austin grad Patrick Hagan had a big day at the Wildcat Classic in Wayne State recently.

Hagan took fifth in the javelin throw with a distance of 146 feet-1-inch, he took eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 161-3 and he took ninth in shot put with a distance of 46-5.25.

Austin grad Amber Hansen took seventh in the discus with a distance of 35.64 meters and eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.08 meters for the University of North Dakota at the Jim Duncan Invite in Drake Stadium recently.
