Several injured in Frankford Township accident

Five individuals suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, the accident was reported at about 1:46 p.m. on Wednesday. A 2010 Dodge Avenger was southbound on Highway 63 when it stopped at a stop sign and attempted to turn left on Highway 16 south of Racine in Frankford Township. The report indicates the Dodge turned in front of a 2016 Ford Escape traveling west on Highway 16. The Ford was unable to avoid hitting the Dodge.
Mower County and Fillmore County deputies responded to the scene. Gold Cross and Spring Valley Ambulance Services and Grand Meadow Fire and Ambulance also responded.
The Ford’s driver, Roger Bernard Reller, 88, and the passengers, Gordon Douglas Briggs, 75, Roland Edward Hanson, 73, and Lanny Frank Krachmer, 79, all of Austin, were transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge, Herbert John Barnhart, 91, of Spring Valley was also transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries.
