Carl Norman Pink, 75, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.

Carl was born Sept. 25, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Carl and Jeanette (Lehmann) Pink. He grew up in St. Paul and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Carl was also in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve.

On Jan. 27, 1968, he married Charolette O’Leary at St. Luke’s Church in St. Paul. The couple moved to Austin in the 1980s. Carl worked at Compu Tax in the Twin Cities during the winter months. He also worked for Austin Park and Recreation and at Watt’s Cookin as a cook for many years.

Music was a large part of Carl’s life. He played guitar and mandolin. Carl was part of several groups: Stillhouse Dwellers, The 4 of Us, Sunny Side Up, and the Newman Church Group.

He is survived by his wife, Charolette O’Leary-Pink, Austin; son, Sean Pink, Austin; brother, Ed Pink, Osseo, Minnesota; sister, Jan (Pink) Maker, Cambridge, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews.
