Akkerman Inc., a family owned third generation company, is seeking qualified candidates to meet production demands. We are seeking experienced machinists for the production of tunneling equipment that is designed to install pipe for the sewer and water industry throughout the world.  Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience.  Machining consists of CNC and manual turning and milling on high mix low volume part runs to support the build and aftermarket sales of our equipment.

Machinist will be responsible for the following:

• reading engineering prints
• setup of machine
• operating machine
• machine maintenance
• calibration of employee gauges
• following Akkerman procedures   
• experience with Mazatrol is a plus
