Cindy L. Andersen, 55, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at her son’s home in Hastings, Minnesota.

Cindy was born on Nov. 5, 1963, in Austin, Minnesota, to Jens and Faye (Marshall) Andersen. She was a lifelong Blooming Prairie resident and graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1981. She loved working on a hog farm and really enjoyed working with her friends at Amesbury Truth in Owatonna, Minnesota. Cindy enjoyed auctioning, fishing, and loved her animals, especially her two cats. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Faye (Don) Cassidy of Claremont, Minnesota; two sons, Dylan (Kayla) Andersen of Hastings and Dalton Andersen of Owatonna; one grandson, Walker Andersen; two brothers, Paul (Ronnie) Andersen of Iowa and Troy (Candace) Andersen of Blooming Prairie; other friends and family; and her two cats, Babes and Buzzy. She was preceded in death by her father, Jens Andersen.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. The interment will be a private family service. Memorials are preferred to the family.
