Austin’s Belden and Vlasaty take third at Section 1AAA Meet

The Austin wrestling team did not have any state qualifiers at the Section 1AAA Meet in Mayo Civic Center in Rochester Saturday.
Senior Josh Belden beat Owatonna’s Matt Seykora with a pin to take third place at 160 pounds in his final match. Belden finished with a record of 25-13 overall.
Adam Vlasaty, a sophomore, finished in third place at 285 for Austin after he was pinned by Nick Lopez in a state qualifying match. Vlasaty finished the year with a record of 7-10 overall.
Austin’s Sam Oelfke took sixth place at 126 pounds, Thomas Fritz took sixth at 132 and Jordan Derry took fifth at 195.
