William (Wil) Luther Bang of, Cary, North Carolina, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Transitions LifeCare with family members at his side.

He was born in 1946 in Austin, Minnesota.

Wil is survived by his wife, Judy; their children, Leah Bang of Raleigh, North Carolina, Holly Bang Vogelsberg and her husband, Cliff, and daughters, Carson and Maslan, of Raleigh, Josh Bang of Raleigh, and Sarah Bang Roberts and her husband, Geoff, and sons, Braylon and Crew, of Cary; brothers, George Bang of Kilkenny, Minnesota, and Mike Bang of Faribault, Minnesota; and a large extended family.

Wil was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lorraine Bang; and brother, Curt Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Peace Presbyterian Church, 1777 W Chatham St., Cary, NC 27513. There will be a private family burial at 3 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
