Sheriff’s goal pushes Bruins past Brookings

The Austin Bruins avoided a major upset when they came up with a major goal to beat Brookings (3-28-1-1 overall) 3-2 in overtime on the road Friday.

The Bruins (21-8-0-3 overall) won the game when Dante Sheriff scored his 16th goal of the season to win the game just a little two minutes into the extra session.

Brett Miller stopped 19 of 21 shots to get the win for Austin.
