The Southland girls basketball team beat La Crescent (3-11 overall, 3-7 Three Rivers) 53-32 in Adams Thursday.

The Rebels (4-12 overall, 3-7 Three Rivers) clamped down on the defensive end as they led by 15 at halftime and didn’t look back.

“The girls played a nice defensive game and they hit the boards hard. We kept them to one shot on most possessions,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said.
