Marea Pappas, 86, of Austin, Minnesota, died on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at her home.

Marea was born on June 21, 1932, in Austin to William and Marie (Skinner) Pappas. She graduated from Austin High School in 1950. She was a long time employee in the accounting department of the Hormel Foods Corporation and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Marea was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Angela, Elaine and Rose; and brother, David James Pappas.

She is survived by her cousins; and friends, including her lifelong friend, Margaret Owens, Austin. She will be missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Christ Episcopal Church with Father John Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Christ Episcopal Church. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
