Leo Leonard Hage, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019.

He was born on July 31, 1935, in Lakefield, Minnesota, to Albert and Helen Hage.  Leo lived in Austin, Minnesota, until 1997, when he settled in Bokeelia, Florida, for 20 beautiful years with Judy, his beloved wife of 26 years. Judy and Leo moved to Marietta, Georgia, in 2017 when his health became comprised.

Leo attended school in Lakefield before going to work in Michigan. He was called to serve in the U.S. Army, then returned to start LL Hage Construction and Parkview Auto in Austin after his service. Leo was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Elks. He spent many years enjoying the Pine Island and Bokeelia Boat Club with his wife and many of their friends.

Leo is survived by his wife, Judy Marzen Hage; daughters, Laurie Hage of San Juan, Costa Rica, Sally Hage of Long Meadow, Massachusetts, and Kristin (Kurt) Hartman of Western Springs, Illinois; stepchildren, Russell (Emily) Marzen of Marietta, Julie (Joe) Taets of Chicago, Illinois, Rebecca (Anthony) DiMarco of New York, New York, Randy (Debi) Marzen of Davenport, Iowa, Deno (Lynne) Marzen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Brenda (Doug) Dickel of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Eric (Laura) Marzen of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren; twenty step-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Gary) Schammel; and brother, Wilbur (Betty) Hage of Lakefield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen; sisters, Doris and Ruby; brothers, Lorvin, Donald and Wilmer; and grandson, Drujak.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. Burial will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at Stacyville Cemetery in Stacyville, Iowa.
