The Hayfield girls basketball team lost to Medford (15-0 overall, 9-0 Gopher) 68-59 on the road Thursday.

Payton Slaathaug had a career-high 20 points for the Vikings (9-7 overall, 4-5 Gopher).

Medford used an 11-0 run to take a 10-point lead in the second half.
