Carmine Kaye (Jensen) McCown, 75, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, after fighting small cell carcinoma for a year.

She was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota, to Carl and Kathryn Jensen. She graduated from Austin High School in 1961. She transferred from Mayo Rochester Campus to Mayo Scottsdale when they opened and retired from there. In 1993, she married Ron McCown. They made their home in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Carmine is survived by her husband, Ron; sister, Denise Nelson; son, Trent (Jeri) Maxfield; daughters, Tracy Johnson and Shelly Maxfield; stepson, RJ McCown; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A wake will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills.
