The LeRoy-Ostrander boys basketball team welcomed back its head coach, but it it ended up with a 71-57 loss to Schaeffer Academy (7-9 overall, 3-6 SEC) in LeRoy Thursday.
The Cardinals (8-7 overall, 4-4 SEC) were playing in their first game under head coach Trevor Carrier, who was making his season debut at head coach.
““It’s great to be back. The kids did what they could,” Carrier said. “We’ve got to fix up some defensive stuff and Schaeffer got hot. You’ve got to give credit to Schaeffer. I want to thank my coaching staff. They did a wonderful job in my absence. They rose up and I’m very proud to call them my coaches and my friends. It was one whale of a job by Justin Stevens. I can’t compliment him enough.”
