The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team lost to Zumbrota-Mazeppa (7-2 overall) 75-45 in the Hayfield Holiday Tournament Thursday.

Jed Nelson scored 10 points for the Athletics (3-5 overall).

LP is still looking to gain experience on the court as the team starts four sophomores and an eighth grader.

“We play timid sometimes, but we will get better and play more consistent,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said.

LP will play Faribault Bethlehem Academy at 3 p.m. in Hayfield Thursday.
