Naomi “Sue” Keim, 52

Naomi “Sue” Keim, 52, of Preston, Minnesota, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus-Rochester, surrounded by her family.

Naomi Sue Keim was born Jan. 27, 1966, daughter of Patrick and Bonnie (Engelhardt) O’Connor in Spring Valley, Minnesota. Sue was a 1984 graduate of Southland High School in Adams, Minnesota. On Aug. 21, 1999, she was united in marriage to Nathan Keim. Sue is described by family as being “stubborn as a mule and sweet as honey” and “full of beauty and talent.” She was intelligent, quick-witted, and very independent. This was reflected throughout her life in the jobs and hobbies she had. Sue did anything from working at QPP, truck driving, farming, bookkeeping, attending cosmetology school, and more recently selling all varieties of in-home business items, especially leggings. She enjoyed pampering herself by having her hair and nails done. She loved dogs, especially the “outcast” breeds. Sue’s pride and joy were her grandchildren. She loved being their Grammy and spending time with them.

Sue is survived by her husband, Nathan Keim of Preston; her son, Branden (Megan) O’Connor of Harmony, Minnesota, and their children, Haven, JaxynMae, and Reigny; her daughter, Allyson (Ben) Klankowski of Austin, Minnesota, and their children, Morgan, Madeline, Marlie, Mya and Mariah; father, Patrick M. O’Connor of Dexter, Minnesota; mother, Bonnie (Englehardt) O’Connor of Lime Springs, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Violet “Lollie” Fairbanks of Lime Springs; her siblings, Patricia (Mark) Maas of Brownsdale, Minnesota, Michael O’Connor of Elkton, Minnesota, Patrick (Lori) O’Connor of Farmington, Phillip (Diane) O’Connor of Dexter and Jackie (Shane) O’Connor-Hendrix of Byron, Minnesota; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dogs,  Shelby, Toby and Rooska.
