Joseph “Oogie” Langan, 73, of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

Joe was born July 11, 1945, in Austin to Henry (Stella Drummond) Langan. He grew up in Austin.

Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Joe was an over the road truck driver, working for his brother, Robert.

He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and portraying his unique personality at the Windrift Lounge.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Gatzke, Byron, Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Langan, Austin, Mrs. Tom (Gloria) Langan, Austin, and Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Langan, Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Mayer Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at Mayer Funeral H ome and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
