A Monday evening accident involving two semis temporarily blocked a road near the Hormel plant.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police responded to a call at 6:44 p.m. on Monday of a semi accident at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Fourth Street Northeast. One semi truck was disabled with front-end damage to the cab. Krueger said it appeared that one semi had accidentally sideswiped the other.

No injuries were reported. The Minnesota State Patrol was called to inspect the rigs.
