Packer boys soccer team racks up 8th straight win

The Austin boys soccer team won its eighth straight game when it blanked Byron 6-0 in Art Hass Stadium Saturday.
Kevin Ortiz had a hat trick for the Packers (11-2 overall), Kee Reh scored his first goal of the season, and Lee Reh and Mooday Wah each had one goal.
Austin sophomore Casey Berg stopped a penalty kick to preserve the shutout late in the game.
The Packers will wrap up their regular season this week as they chase their second straight Big Nine title.
Austin will host Northfield at 7 p.m. Tuesday and it will play at Rochester Century 7 p.m. on Thursday. Austin is currently tied with Mayo for first place in the Big Nine as both teams have a conference record of 8-1.
Mayo, which beat Austin 1-0 on Sept. 11, has conference games remaining against Mankato East and Albert Lea.
